RAMPANT BAYERN ONLY TEAM ON NINE POINTS, LEVERKUSEN BOUNCE BACK

Bayern Munich are the only Bundesliga side with a 100% record after three matches following a 6-1 triumph on Saturday at promoted Holstein Kiel - where they were 3-0 up inside 13 minutes and Harry Kane scored a hat-trick.

Jamal Musiala netted the third quickest Bundesliga goal ever after 15 seconds, Kane swept home a second and Nicolai Remberg scored an own goal after Musiala's trickery.

All three early goals followed dreadful Kiel defending as their hopes of worrying Bayern at their 15,000-capacity stadium soon disappeared.

England striker Kane rifled in a second from the edge of the area and substitute Michael Olise made it 5-0 on 65 minutes, with Kane completing his fifth Bundesliga treble from the spot in injury time.

"Winning games helps everyone individually with their development," Bayern midfielder Joshua Kimmich told Sky. "It is one of the best pitches in the Bundesliga. The atmosphere is special, cool stadium."

Armin Gigović's header for Kiel was at least their first home goal in their maiden Bundesliga season. But the bottom side have the opposite return to Bayern from three games having lost all three.

Bayern's new coach Vincent Kompany, appointed after the Bavarians failed to win a trophy last term for the first time since 2012, could not have dreamt of a better start ahead of the revamped Champions League kick-off on Tuesday at home to Dinamo Zagreb.

Bizarre Boniface celebration

Champions Bayer Leverkusen won 4-1 at Hoffenheim to get their title defence back on track thanks to Victor Boniface's double - and bizarre celebration where he pulled down his shorts in a Tik Tok trend.

Leverkusen, who went through the whole of the last Bundesliga campaign unbeaten, lost last time out at home to RB Leipzig but a flying start in Hoffenheim helped them bounce back straight away.

"It was really important to win after we lost," Boniface said. "I'm really happy because I have been unlucky in the first two games. I needed this."

French winger Martin Terrier, a close-season signing from Stade Rennes, netted his first Bundesliga goal from Boniface's lay-off for the opener while Florian Wirtz also converted from the spot.

Leipzig drew 0-0 at home to Union Berlin, with Loïs Openda missing a penalty for the hosts and both coaches missing from the bench given Marco Rose was suspended and Bo Svensson ill.

Borussia Mönchengladbach, marking club icon Günter Netzer's 80th birthday, lost 3-1 at home to last term's runners-up VfB Stuttgart as Ermedin Demirović's quickfire double added to new Germany starter Deniz Undav's opener. Alassane Pléa had levelled for the Foals but was injured while scoring.

Stuttgart go to Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Eintracht Frankfurt won 2-1 at Wolfsburg after Omar Marmoush's brace against his former club while second-bottom Bochum scored their first goal of the campaign but still lost 2-1 at Freiburg.

Heidenheim, who led the table with two wins before the international break, lost 4-2 at second-placed Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
