  • The teen sensation took on the likes of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris
  • Littler, 17, was at Silverstone having suffered back-to-back defeats this week

Luke Littler linked up with some of Formula One's biggest names at Silverstone on Thursday as he took them on in a game of darts.

Teen sensation Littler, who shot to stardom with his fairytale run at the PDC World Championship over the festive period, has gone from strength-to-strength in recent months.

Not only has his profile grown to stratospheric levels, but Littler also lifted the Premier League Darts title in what his first campaign in the tournament.

And, ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix, Littler joined the likes of Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and Sergio Perez as he faced off against them in a game of darts.

Littler was playing in the Silverstone paddock and was also joined by Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly of Alpine, while Haas's Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg similarly challenged the 17-year-old to a game.

Littler seemed to be enjoying the opportunity as he was all smiles, while the F1 stars, including Verstappen, also looked to be relishing the challenge.

The 17-year-old was seen deep in conversation with Norris, a fellow British sporting icon, as he proved to be a star attraction for the drivers.

However, Littler's presence at Silverstone comes after what could be seen as the first setback of his career.

On Wednesday, he suffered a surprise defeat for the second time in the space of two days, as he lost to world No 92 James Hurrell at the Players Championship 14.

This came after Littler was knocked out of the Players Championship 13 in the first round on Tuesday when he was beaten by world No 116 Robert Grundy.

Meanwhile, Littler was keen to give his thoughts on England's Euro 2024 hopes during his stint at Silverstone.

Despite reaching the quarter-finals, where they face Switzerland on Saturday, the Three Lions have underwhelmed so far at the tournament.

And Littler had some words of advice for England boss Gareth Southgate as he told Sky Sports: 'I think Gareth just needs to pick what all the fans want.

'And we all know what we want, what players we need - and that's what he needs to do.

'If we get the right players in and do the right formation for the Switzerland game then we'll be alright.'
