NHL RELEASES SCHEDULE FOR 2024-25 REGULAR SEASON

The NHL has released the schedule for all 32 teams for the 2023-24 regular season beginning on Oct. 8. And there are plenty of highlights to keep an eye on across the League.

To kick off the NHL regular season, the League will feature back-to-back nights with triple headers on Oct. 8-9 as part of the NHL Face-Off. Opening night will begin with a triple header on ESPN featuring the St. Louis Blues visiting the Seattle Kraken, the Boston Bruins taking on the role of spoiler against the Florida Panthers and the Chicago Blackhawks welcoming the Utah Hockey Club to the NHL. Among those, you will see the Panthers raise their Stanley Cup championship banner and the inaugural game for the newest club, Utah.

And while that is all going on, TNT will host its own doubleheader with the New York Rangers taking on the Metropolitan Division rival Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vegas Golden Knights against the big three and the Colorado Avalanche.

On night two, it will be Sportsnet with the triple header, as the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Montreal Canadiens, the Winnipeg Jets travel to Alberta against the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames battle it out in the Pacific Division with the Vancouver Canucks.

Throughout the season, there will be notable days all over the League.

One of them will be Tuesday, Oct. 22 when all 32 teams are in action.

Four teams will participate in the 2024 NHL Global Series, playing games in Europe. The Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils will face off in their season-opening games in Prague, Czechia at O2 Arena on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5. And the Dallas Stars and Panthers will play a pair of regular-season games at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2. The Stars have a heavy Finnish roster, so these should be a lot of fun.

If Macklin Celebrini decides to play in the NHL this season, mark down Oct. 10 for his and Will Smith’s NHL debuts at home against St. Louis.

Of course, the notable events like the Stadium Series (March 1), Winter Classic (Dec. 31) and a rematch of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final (Dec. 16) will be must-watch television.

And don’t forget about the 4 Nations Face-Off, a four-team international tournament that will kick off Feb. 12, 2025.

Here is how the NHL breaks up the regular season:
