REPORT: RFA OBI TOPPIN INTENDS TO SIGN FOUR-YEAR, $60M DEAL WITH PACERS

Obi Toppin is staying put.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Toppin — a pending restricted free agent — intends to sign a four-year, $60 million contract to stay with the Indiana Pacers.

The 26-year-old forward averaged 10.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Pacers in 2023-24, shooting 57.3 per cent from the field.

Toppin emerged as a key contributor for the Pacers during the team’s run to the Eastern Conference Finals before being eliminated by the Boston Celtics.

A four-year NBA veteran, Toppin began his career with the New York Knicks but was dealt to Indiana in the summer of 2023.

The Pacers have been busy retaining some of their core pieces this off-season. Earlier in June, they agreed to a max contract with former Toronto Raptors All-Star Pascal Siakam.
